Press Option+6 and then the required base letter to get a version with a hat. In MacOSX you can use the "ABC Extended" keyboard, which has "dead keys" for the necessary accents. In Linux, you can add the Esperanto keyboard under your system settings the same way that you add any other keyboard. There is also an Esperanto Language Pack for the popular AnySoftKeyboard app. In Android you can use the Google Keyboard, which has a setting for Esperanto and is usually already installed on the phone. Windows computers and iPhones require additional software to support accented characters. Linux, Mac OS, and Android all supply built-in keyboards for typing accented letters.
